Employees from Pakistan are seeking an announcement of a salary increase in the budget for 2022 for government workers. The Finance Ministry is sending a brief for approval to the Budget of 2022 that there should be no pay increases for government workers in 2022.
Allied governments advised that government employees’ salaries should be increased by 10 to 20 percent, but the government is considering doing so.
According to a Dunya News news story published in Daily Dunya Newspaper on May 29, 2022 Pay and pension committee decisions are on hold until June 30, 2022.
As a result of Pakistan’s inflation, the government should raise public employee salaries; however, owing to IMF conditions and requirements, it appears that there will be no pay increase in the budget for 2022.
Note: We do not comment on reported public sector salary increases. We don’t know whether the government will raise salaries. Perhaps after some suggestions, the government will boost pay. However, this news is current today.
